- Air Cartridges are the expendable `ammunition` for Taser systems. Each cartridge is serialized and contains small canisters of compressed and inert nitrogen that expels when the Taser system is first deployed. All cartridges also contain 20-30 pink, yellow and clear small serialized confetti pieces that match the serial number of the air cartridge. These can be used for determining which Air Cartridge is fired and if a citizen has deployed it, and is traceable back to the purchaser under Taser`s unique Anti-Felon Identification (AFID) system.
